In today's mobile society, Honda is committed to the goal of "Safety for Everyone" both inside and outside the vehicle – not only drivers, passengers and riders, but also pedestrians with whom they share the road. In addition to developing and deploying the most advanced safety technologies in our products, Honda is also one of the world's largest operators of safe driving and riding education programmes.
To achieve this goal, Honda's approach incorporates both active and passive safety technologies. Active safety measures include accident prevention and avoidance technologies for enhancing the vehicle's basic functions, such as turning and stopping to give the driver all possible assistance in an emergency. Passive safety technologies are designed to minimize injury in the event of an accident, both to the occupants of the vehicle and to other road users, including pedestrians.
