Honda encourages Thais to stop global warming, holding the ‘Together for Tomorrow’ exhibition for 2008 World Environment Day


Bangkok, 9 June 2008 – Mr. Pongdej Sriwachirapradit (second from left), Management Manager and Ms. Siriporn Srisuk (left), Social Contribution Manager, Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., welcomed Ms. Anongwan Thepsuthin (third from left), Natural Resources and Environment Minister at the grand opening of the 2008 World Environment Exhibition, which the Honda Group of Companies in Thailand has joined the event by holding its environmental exhibition under the “Together For Tomorrow” theme at Exhibition Hall 9, Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani.


The Together for Tomorrow exhibition is divided into five zones featuring Honda’s accomplishments in developing environmentally friendly products and organizing green activities.  The zones are as follows: 

1. Green Organization:  Presentation of Honda’s environmentally friendly corporate policies. The zone also includes a model of an intelligent energy saving house that displays Honda’s proprietary solar panel technology used to create hydrogen for vehicle and household fuel. 

2. Green Technology: Information of Honda’s products including automobiles, motorcycles and power products that employ clean engine technology to reduce CO2 emissions including the FCX Clarity fuel cell powered car, the Honda Wave 125i – a motorcycle with a new fuel injection technology and a low emission lawn mower.  

3. Green Plant:  Green innovations developed in Thai Honda plants including concrete blocks made from incinerated waste, solar cells and water saving taps.

4. Green Activity: Honda social activities including the Honda Econo Power Contest designed to encourage Thai youth to invent the most fuel economy vehicles and the School Environment Challenge Project under the “Follow The King’s Path with Honda” theme, that was designed to apply HM the King’s concepts to create a national network based on sustainable environmental conservation.

5. Royal Projects: Presentations on programs related to garbage, waste water and energy management that are in accordance with His Majesty’s environmental concepts.
