Honda organizes a seminar to inspire creativity among Thai teachers nationwide

Bangkok, 26 June 2008: Honda Group of Companies in Thailand led by Mr. Adisak Rohitasune (top row: 4th from left), Senior Vice President of Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd. organized a seminar for teachers, an activity under the “Honda ASIMO Super Idea Contest 4” program. The seminar was created to address children’s problem solving ability and creativity by developing a network of teachers who have been specially trained. The seminary involved presentations by expert lecturers – Prof. Dr. Bangorn Serirat, Deputy Dean of Education Faculty, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University; Thanat Janthawat, cognitive psychologist and champion of the One Night Genius TV program; Su Boonlieng, a famous musician and writer – who shared their knowledge and experiences with attending teachers who will in turn forward those to their students. There were 100 teachers from 100 schools attended the seminar.


Honda invites interested children in Pratom 1 – 6 to submit their inventions for the “Honda ASIMO Super Idea Contest 4” between April 1 – July 15. Winners of the contest will receive the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Plaque and scholarships valued at over 100,000 baht. The winners will also represent Thai youth and display their creations at the “Honda Kid’s Idea Contest 7” in Japan, and have the chance to visit ASIMO’s birthplace.
