Challenges Kids To Share Their Ideas
Bangkok, March 20 2008—Children with dreams and imagination, don’t just keep them to yourself, send them to the “Honda ASIMO Super Idea Contest 4” under the theme, “From the Power of Dreams, To Future Inventions”. The inventions that are submitted should incorporate mobility and be beneficial to the society.
Kids in Pratom 1 – 6 who are interested in the program can submit their inventions between April 1 -July 15. Winners will receive the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Plaque and scholarships valued at over 100,000 baht. The winners will also represent Thai youth and display their creations at the “Honda Kid’s Idea Contest 7” in Japan, and have the chance to visit ASIMO’s birthplace. As a special prize for this year, ASIMO will visit at the school of the 2 winners’.
“Honda ASIMO Super Idea Contest” is one of the programs Honda organizes annually, and this year marks its fourth execution in Thailand. The program opens the opportunity for Thai youth to display their creative ideas in inventing something new with ASIMO, a friend of children around the world, to help inspire them. Over the past three years, we have seen the limitless potential of children. This year, we hope to see even more and more creative ideas from these junior inventors,” said Khun Adisak Rohitasune, Senior Vice President of Asian Honda Motors Ltd.
This year, Honda has prepared new activities to publicize the program among children across the country. Honda has also prepared activities to introduce the program to all schools in Thailand and reinforce the idea that ‘anybody can come up with creative ideas’. Honda will also organize an exhibition called “The Power of Dreams Station,” and other activities to promote creative ideas throughout the program.
