Honda Provides Aid to the Victims of the Nargis Cyclone in Myanmar

Bangkok, 13 May 2008 – Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Honda’s Bangkok-based Asia & Oceania regional headquarters led by Mr. Adisak Rohitasune (middle), Senior Vice President and Ms. Siriporn Srisuk (right), Social Contribution Manager presented 1 million baht to the Thai Red Cross Society represented by Ms. Suvaree Leelasetakul (left), Vice Director of the Finance Bureau. The funds will be used for relief assistance to those affected by the recent “Nargis” Cyclone in Myanmar.
In addition, Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Honda’s Japan-based head office has announced a 20 million yen (approximately 6.2 million baht) donation to the Japanese Red Cross Society to be designated for the relief effort in Myanmar. Total monetary support from Honda Motor Co., Ltd., and Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., is about 7.2 million baht (or 23.3 million yen).
This humanitarian assistance is part of Honda’s commitment to being a contributing member of society where we live. Honda worldwide takes as its mission to extend a helping hand in times of need, including disaster relief.
